Teaching Children Effectively™ Level 1

Want to expand your ministry skills or gain a deeper understanding of CEF® teaching methods?

Then Teaching Children Effectively™, Level One (TCE™ 1) is for you! In this certificate course, you will learn in-depth how to share the Wordless Book, teach memory verses, write an evangelistic Bible lesson, and conduct a Good News Club®. TCE™ 1 courses happen all over the world, and now in the Miami Valley.

Come join us this fall for a TCE 1 course here in Dayton! We will be meeting in person on Thursday evenings September 4-November 13 from 6-9:15pm. This is a unique opportunity because half of the classes will be taught by Pat and Rachel here in person and half of the classes will be taught by other instructors from all over Ohio.

Topics include:

• The Child in the New Testament

• Encouraging the Newly Converted Child

• Bible Lesson Preparation & Presentation

• Managing your Classroom

Course requirements are to maintain regular attendance in class sessions, complete homework and three practicums, and participate in five Good News Club teaching opportunities. The homework and practicums allow you to apply and practice what you are learning in the classes, and receive feedback and encouragement to guide you along the way. You will earn a certificate for successfully completing all course requirements!

Course Details

• Dates: Every Thursday evening from September 4 to November 13, 2025

• Time: 6-9:15, with a light dinner starting at 5:45pm

• Place: CEFMV Training Center (3626 N. Main St., Dayton, OH 45405)

• Cost: $125 (covers your student manual, curriculum pack with enough material to teach a 5-week children’s class, and certificate fee)
