Summer is Ripe with Opportunities!

Summer is a very busy time of ministry at Child Evangelism Fellowship® in the Miami Valley and there are plenty of ways for you to get involved! We are currently looking for Christians to get involved with the 5-Day Club® program and the Good News Tent Fair Ministry. Also, Christian teens are invited to apply for Christian Youth in Action® this summer. This year, we are also offering Bible Boot Camp at the local office for pre-teens and teens.

5-Day Club®

5-Day Club® is a unique and effective way to reach the children and families in your community! For 5 consecutive days, 90 minutes each day, children gather to hear exciting Bible and missions stories, sing high-energy songs, learn life-changing Bible verses, play fun games and hear the Gospel clearly presented. The main way to get involved is to host a club at your home, church, or a neighborhood park. We will come and teach the club so you do not have to worry about preparing a lesson, all you have to do is invite the children to come, provide a snack for them, and get to know the kids who attend. It is our hope that you will be able to use that 5-Day Club® as a jumping off point to disciple those children in your neighborhood or invite them to church.

Regardless of whether or not hosting a club is a possibility for you, you can get involved by praying. Please specifically pray for the 5-Day Clubs that will be happening across the Miami Valley and for the children who will be hearing the Gospel this summer.

Good News Tent Fair Ministry

At several of the county fairs in the Miami Valley, CEFMV sets up a tent and ministers to the children who attend the fair. We tell them the Gospel through the Wordless Book, make them a balloon sculpture, and paint their faces.

Many children come to the country fairs and it’s a wonderful chance to meet children where they are and share the Good News of salvation with them.

You can get involved with fair ministry this summer! You can sign up now to work with us at any of the local fairs where we will be ministering. Daytime, evening, and weekend 4-5 hour volunteer shifts available.

Christian Youth in Action® 

Watch this short video to hear testimonies from a pastor, a parent, and a CYIA student.

CYIA™ is a life-impacting program designed to teach teens how to present the Gospel clearly and counsel a child for salvation, as well as how to run an effective 5-Day Club® ministry. Teens learn how to give Bible lessons that communicate the Gospel, share real-life missionary stories, and teach memory verses. Additionally, CYIA™ students learn how to lead children in songs and games, plus how to use review games to reinforce teaching.

Teens then put that training to good use and teach 5-Day Club® throughout the Miami Valley. CYIA™ summer missionaries can also help share the Gospel at the local county fairs.

Through the training and service experience, students grow spiritually and in skills such as communication, teamwork, and responsibility. Teens also gain valuable evangelism skills and experience.

Following preparatory training at the local office, the 2026 Christian Youth in Action statewide training is June 7-13 at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

Bible Boot Camp

Bible Boot Camp is free training for born-again young people, ages 9 and up who want to learn how to confidently share their faith. It’s all about to preparing young hearts to minister!

At Bible Boot Camp, young people will learn:

  • How to use a witnessing tool called the Wordless Book, which uses 5 different colors to explain God’s plan for salvation. 

  • How to have fun making balloon animals for kids and painting their little faces.

  • How to use these skills to participate in fairs, festivals and backyard Bible clubs throughout the summer.

Bible Boot Camp 2026 is Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11 from 10am-2pm at the CEFMV Training Center (3626 N. Main Street, Dayton, Ohio 45405)!
