Weekly Prayer Request
Child Evangelism Fellowship Praise and Prayer for the week of August 14 - 20
Praise for the 560 children reached and the 43 decisions at the Greene County Fair and 826 children reached and 127 decisions along with the 106 adults who heard the gospel and the 6 decisions at the Preble County Fair last week. Praise for the workers that have braved the extreme heat wave to minister to those coming by the tent.
Pray for Miami County Fair August 13 - 29, and the Darke County Fair beginning on the 20th of August.
Praise for the churches which adopted "a day at the fair". Also for Steve Foster, coordinator of Miami County Fair and Cindy Miller, coordinator for Darke County.
Pray for the fund raising opportunity at Bob Evans Restaurant on Woodman and Rt. 35 this Thursday, August 12 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Remember to tell your friends, and also that you must present the flyer that you received in the Spotlight to be sure that a percentage of your bill will go to CEF. We have flyers at the office. Call and request some.
I had my third chemo treatment today. Please pray for me. Tonight I will be hooked up to the fusion pump for two days. This is standard every time I get treatment. Your prayers are what keeps me going. Thank you so much for caring enough to keep me in your prayers.

Child Evangelism Fellowship of the Miami Valley Praise and Prayer for the week of August 21 - 28
Praise the Lord for over 600 children who heard the Wordless Book story at the Miami County Fair, bringing the total of contacts for our three Fairs and Festivals to over 2300 who heard and 232 who made decisions for Christ. Miami County Fair saw 55 decisions.
Pray for Darke County Fair which begins Friday, August 20, and runs through Saturday, August 28. Praise the Lord for the many volunteers who helped, some teaching and counseling, others painting faces and making balloons, handing out packets and inviting children to come in and hear the story.
Continue to pray as we schedule workers for Montgomery County Fair. We are having some difficulty finding workers for Friday, Sunday and Monday. In fact, Sunday and Monday (Labor Day) have only 3 workers for both days, which normally are our busiest days. Labor Day weekend is always the hardest time to get workers, and this year is especially hard due to varying circumstances. Normally, I fill in where needed, but am unable to do that this year.
Pray for the Riverside Festival which is August 27 - 29. Saturday is the only day we are lacking workers. Please pray that this will be taken care of quickly.
Pray for the special Festival at Cedarville University on August 27 in the evening, where we have opportunity to recruit students to work in Good News Clubs. Joseph will be there, as every year, to interest young people. This is a great opportunity for workers to be provided for possible clubs in Xenia, Fairborn, Springfield and, as usual, for Cedarcliff in Cedarville.
Continue to pray for me as I have my 4th chemo treatment this coming Wednesday. I have had a lot of fatigue since the last treatment, and the doctor warns me that it will probably increase the more treatments that I have. Your prayers are appreciated.
